Bushwalking

Okay, so the skirt finally made their real debut today when I went for a photo trip with a friend. Who would've thought tutus and scraggly shrubs went together so well...or not! This photo finally shows it in all its glory, look - it has a bow on the front. And pockets too! For aspiring ballerinas to stash their mobile phones in, of course.

Cardigan: Country Road
Skirt: ASOS
Bag:Marina Galanti
Camera: Canon 450D

The day was so lovely and warm, tights were omitted. But I really wish I had worn something a little more inspiring on top.

Oh yeah, I'm wearing the RMK brogues too. I need to get them re-heeled...worn them way too much this winter.

This photo shows a closeup of my rings. I'm not a big jewelry person (or accessory person, as you may have noticed) but I always have a few rings on my fingers. The one on my middle finger I found when I was cleaning my room. It was a present from my first boyfriend. I hated it then but surprising enough, I love it now. Luckily my fingers haven't grown any fatter.

Thanks to my friend Peter for the above photographs and for watching me prance around showing off my skirt and act like a general retard.

I think that's a great ring.

These pictures are fantastic! And I am amazed that a white, frilly ballerina skirt manages to look so practical as well as pretty.

I think you should keep lollies in the pockets! Then it can be the Magic Never-Emptying Be-Pocketed Ballerina Skirt of Sweet Goodness. Can you tell I haven't had my morning coffee yet? :)

You look amazing in the skirt - I think the simple top half compliments it well. And O-M-G it's warm enough for no tights? I am currently green with envy!

Blogette - I'm enjoy the return to red as well, and to be honest I've only been thinking about monochrome to go with the skirt, so this is a nice change.

Cause I am a Girl - thank you so much. Those are pretty much the three things that I really strive for with the blog, glad you enjoy it.

WendyB - I think so too, it's a keeper, no matter how much the boy whinges!

A Cat of Impossible Colour - thank you, it's amazing how much better photos are when someone else is taking them. And your lollie-pocket idea is too cute, so what if you haven't been caffeinated yet!

Skye - Haha, I know...I'd marry it but then the boy may get jealous.

Miss Karen - true, simplicity is the key. Don't get too jealous though I'm pretty sure Perth'll get another round of colder weather before Spring officially starts!

I love the juxtapoition of the white frilly dress with the rougher elements. Also, I love seeing people in their elements -- like you looking expert with your camera!

I think the tutu is having a new resurgence. 6 years on from the SATC opening and its back, stronger then ever before. see www.ladymelbourne.blogspot.com for her version of the tutu today. You have both done it super well. Just beautiful xf

The looks stunning in your part of the world, I like that your skirt is just the right about of poofy.

ps - OK, so finally I've posted that damn voucher but please excuse the lack of card and crappy post-it note....please.

Cammila - haha, expert...you are too flattering. But true, I wish I had someone else to take pictures of me naturally all the time!

A Dreamer - it's all about volume for me this upcoming summer, I was very tempted to buy it in black too.

Francis Girard - I sure hope so, although I was the recipient of many funny looks when I wore them out. Perhaps I just looked like I was dressing up...

LM - As Francis Girard said, you looked absolutely stunning too! I am a sucker for sunshine after such a gloomy and cold winter.

Imelda Matt - 'just the right about of poufy', I agree! Thanks for posting the voucher, and don't diss the post-it note, its one of my favourite things!
